Thanks for this. I have tip lifting when just applying to my natural completely short nails. But they are so so thin naturally without ever having nails done. And so so ridged. They've always been and now I'm gonna be 40, I imagine it's only gonna get worse. I'm not one to go to salons (no offence, I don't even want to go to a hairdresser).
It's feels uncomfortable to touch the nail cos it's so thin, the ridges make that worse (also makes it look gross). And I almost cried after I had finished the first nail. It felt i had some barrier, so I could touch the nail. The washboard effect was gone obviously. It felt more natural for sure than the effect i could get with a thick layer of some glitter polishes (and of course cos my nails are so thin, polish doesn't last cos they just bend and the polish can't).

ANYWAY, So I used the file the instructions said and I was a little concerned cos I do not have ANY nail thickness to give. Is it that, or could it also be cos my nails are just THAT thin? Or I applied it too thin? I think there might be limits to the thickness too when it's just a short natural nail and no sticker. I'll have to investigate this more and you've given me valuable information.. cos this is my last hope before it would be just better off for me to have my nails removed. The ridges keep splitting the whole nail and I have to file it down to what's painfully short or i will scratch my face in my sleep or even worse damage an eye.

Let me edit and say, yes I take B vit complex with biotin (B7), And yes have mentioned it to my GP, cos my teeth also have very uneven enamel (luckily very thick and not visible on the front teeth). But GP does not care. lol And how long is it safe to keep a lifted nail on, so I don't get some fungus infection?

My nails are lifting in the middle of the nail! With Kokoist Mega Stick, not using bonder, cleansing with 99% alcohol. I follow everything mentioned in the video! I'm at a loss! Please help :(

I started to do overlay gel on natural nails on my clients.. but every time they come in for a refill, the free edged (in the corners on top) always lifted. The natural nail and the gel it’s like it’s peeling.. I tried to put glue, and then when I do the refill to make sure cover that parts but somehow they always lifted...

For some reason I have soaked my gel
Nail in acetone, tried filing first, hot tips to soak in and the color gel polish comes off but the clear base cost doesn’t!! I try te soaking 20 minutes and still nothing takes off base coat. Can you help
