WOW! Another very interesting and informative video! I'm astounded at how much I learned today. Vapor Blasting is a really fascinating technology, which I had not been exposed to. Far superior (at least in terms of the mess) to regular sand blasting. The Ford FE series engines have always been my favorite, since I bought my first one in a new '67 Mustang. That taught me a lot about wrenching. Yes, the intake is prodigiously heavy! When I first pulled mine off (in about 1969) I actually looked to see if I had left some bolts in! The purpose of the exercise was to replace the lifters with solids, and the cam with a regular Ford 427 cam. Had to change the rocker arms to adjustable, the push rods, and the valve covers to taller ones. Used all OEM Ford parts, as they were cheap in those days. Car had a wicked idle! Ah, those were the days when we weren't so old, but thought we were wise!

Hi there, Mr. C:T. It's been a while I had a water-blaster, but I wasn't very happy with it. It' uses a lot of water, flash rust and the worst of it is back-blast. Wear protective gear, otherwise you'll regret it. If you have some flat surface to blast, it might be ok, but a frame has lots and lots of pockets, flanges, gussets and mounts.... Those will throw the media back at you. Anyway, good luck, but do it outside! I'm about to start my blaster, the dry one but I have protective pressurized respirator and the half suit, which works fine. Looking forward to that. =) I'll notify you about any update.. Cheers!
