Had an uncle who worked for Ford, when your truck was built, and Dearborn's favorite saying was, Ziebart, It's us or rust!! He owned a truck similar to yours except it was early 70s and every inch of it was coated. It never rusted out!!

Another fun video from CT!!!! That was satisfying to see all of that old undercoating and rust coming off!!! That Eastwood grinding tool was a beast!!! That thing works great!!! It’s definitely a good idea to get a large sandblasting tank! It would be worth it for sure!

I use a needle scaler from HF for jobs like this. They can strip a frame in a hour or so.

The truck is going to be a show piece when it's done, nice to see!

I owned a sandblast company. I could have blasted that whole frame to white metal in 2 hours or less. You're doing good with what you have.

CT you come a long ways on the Dragon since you first picked it up and explore a old broken down camper on it's back. I think you wiliness to learn as you go and to keep going is a great thing. I am looking forward to your next Dragon video and especially to the 360 overhaul.

A needle scaler would definitely make short work of cleaning up the frame and made the job fun at the same time!

I really enjoy seeing the progress you're making! Looking forward to more content from all of your projects!!

Great progress CT! Buy a needle scaler! They work really well in the Hard to get areas and around bolt heads. Use the mini sand plaster around the bolt heads and the big Eastwood grinders on all the big areas. Remove the parking brake cables and replace with new. They’re cheap as dirt. Remove the rear leaf springs and rebuild them. They don’t work properly when Rusty because they bind. Replace the bushings in the long arms in the front suspension. Your almost there!

Hey CT. That is lots of work. I was lucky with my Fargo. The guy that I bought it from oil sprayed the frame because it helps fight the rust here in Canada with the salt on the road. So to clean my fame I just sprayed it with grease cleaner and power washed it clean. Then Painted it. Good luck with the rest of it. Thanks for sharing.🍁👍👍

Hi CT, Watched this today and yes I think if you want to get done quicker you need to get the Harbor Freight sand blast tank. Its going to take a bunch of sand to strip it. Lay down a tarp under it to capture the sand and may be able to reuse it again. Put it on a screen with a shaker maybe to just get the sand and not all the old undercoating? Anyway looked forward to seeing your next video

That frame is in amazing condition. If it was in the UK, it would have been reduced to a heap of rust years ago !

Keep the sand feed hose on top. If you let it hang down below the nozzle, that's when the water gets in the feed hose.
