This is what it takes to go pro in valorant or to just get the radiant rank
The answer is quite simple, its the amount of time you put in.. but just how much is necessary?! We deep dive that question in this VALORANT Video

This is all so true. I am a professional musician and I tell the same thing to my students: If they want to be as good as me, they have to put in the work. The reason I was able to get such high profile gigs is because I used to practice 14 hours a day in college. That's what it takes if you're trying to be THAT good. Being a professional athelete, or being a pro at a video game is the same amount of time investment. And it's not just raw hours spent, but spending that time intelligently. Not everyone has what it takes to go 14 hours a day and be actively focused that entire time. You have to really want it.

Yeah I wish I just put in the work now I'm left wondering "Could I have had a shot"

Basically all of 2023 I had no job, no priorities in life and was home basically all day. I had just finished college and couldn't find a job. My parents weren't forcing me to pay rent as long as I was making an effort on trying to find a job related to my field.

For a whole YEAR I COULD have grinded I COULD have put in so much time and effort, but I didn't. I was Ascendant 3 at the beginning of 2023 playing only 2 hours a day and then playing 1.5 hours on my alt account with my friends in gold.

I have a job now that I enjoy but, always asking myself "Could I have done it?"

This helped me put things into perspective. I peaked at Immortal 2 a year and a half ago and haven't grinded as much since. Now I'm stuck in diamond lobbies, wondering if I've gotten worse, but I only play once every 3 weeks due to other priorities. I guess I need to put in the hours again, but I just can't seem to enjoy the grind as much. I used to be able to grind all day the whole week, but now I get bored after one day and stop playing for a few weeks.

How do I keep up with kids who live and breathe Valorant?

And I’m on spring break and can play 10-20 games a day it’s so much fun compared writing a sonnet

Great wake up call for most people, would time spent on vod reviewing and aimtraining be included in the the time towards gametime or would it have all to be all those hours in comp

It’s so true, it sucks looking back at a goal wondering if you had only put in the time then if it would have amounted to something huge!!

What about accounting for aimtraining?

I’ve been grinding around 6-8 hours a day sometimes more, is it realistic that I have a chance to go pro if I keep doing this? I’ve been climbing the ranks easily and im currently in diamond

Coach, as from someone knowledgable to less knowledgeable person when it comes to fps shooting, can you share your take on phantom vs vandal on high ping? In one of replies you shared about Xantares peek from CS and it was very helpful, but I am now confused on if either of guns are objectively better. Some coaches say vandal is better due to one-tap potential, while others say phantom is better because you can't target confirm and you have to commit to fights. I understand both of the takes, but if I suck at both, which one is theoretically better at mastering?
