In this guitar lesson, I will teach you the Three Finger Exercises You Need to Know!!! This video was shot using a GoPro for what I call a GoPro View. I will demonstrate how to how to play these finger exercises, proper left and right hand technique, how to practice them with a metronome, and how to create a pulse when you play guitar. These are the only finger exercises I play-- because they work! These finger exercises with help you to develop muscle memory, increase dexterity, and build connection between your right and left hand,-- all key to becoming a great guitar player!

Sounds like the basics are very important...so many people learn bad habits...Good job..

Kelly has me doing these daily and it helps. At first it seemed quite tedious but I’ve come to find the 4 exercises rather gratifying. On Kelly’s advice I accent the downbeats and bob my head and get into the feel, and use palm muting. I do them in both 8th and 16th notes (not at the same bpm; give me a break). Great to do especially on days you are short on time to keep connected to the guitar.
