Just found this recently. My list of Monty mains that I know have gone up to 5 now so it's great to see another monty main. Also a tip from me (applies to all shields) on hostage if you take the hostage your shield will block most bullets to your back but not the hostage so the enemy will probably shoot the hostage instead of you.

Monty entering a room is like letting a tiger walk into the same room as you. He will literally sit there, and you haven no power of the situation, while he waits for you to just make a simple turn.

I've always used the spam extend shield method to put pressure on the enemy team, I'm glad someone finally addressed it. I use the P9 on console to go for headshots and spamfire, but I mostly go for melee. Its very difficult to deal with veteran shield players without explosives.

Don't know if you'll see this, but me and my friend have found a weirdly perfect combo: Monty and Nokk. Nokk can take out alibi and other traps, and Monty can, well, be Monty.

It always worked for me putting the defuser in the corner and stand there while i make callouts for my teamplayers. I also let them shoot me while not fully shielded and wait for them to reload to take my chance, either way good video!
