I've been to the Australian Oktoberfest in Melbourne and they were serving all the beers in plastic 375ml cups.
I had got my $80 ticket to the event just so I could drink from proper 1L steins.
I guess that would be a safety hazard in Australia.

Maintaining eye contact when toasting is a long-standing tradition in Germany. Not only is it considered especially rude, but it can also have some serious effects on your life - particularly your sex life.
