Any federal elected official who lies while conducting federal business in either body of congress should be suspected of treason and dealt with appropriately.

It's weird how, in 2 hours, nobody even mentioned Giuliani.

We haven't been able to get rid of corruption in our country for decades and we are going to help Ukraine get rid of theirs? Prosecutions would go a long way to deterring corruption.

Reading transcripts before they are released sounds like a great way to influence the impressionable. Also, if the synopsis of a call cites "favor" sharing, what did they have to begin with in the actual transcript?

Edit: the "transcript" released by the white house

It is not a webpage, that is the direct download of the PDF from the White House website. Always read the small print.

I am so grateful for these men of integrity, for their hard work and their tenacity in dealing with this menagerie of evil. I am amazed and super grateful! God bless America 🇺🇸 🙏 ❤️

So, for many of you out there too thick to understand I will elucidate: The task of the prosecutor (the House of Representatives) is to present a case they have prepared. The task of the defense (White House Council and associates) is to present the case they have prepared. The task of the jury (The Senate) is to listen to evidence and determine guilt or innocence according to law. When have you seen the JURY being tasked with calling witnesses?

Apparently people are unaware that they're prohibited (by law) from recording phone conversations between the president and foreign heads of state,
that's why we have to rely on a transcript. There are several people listening in who each take their own notes during a call, then they meet to compare notes, clarify words that may have been difficult to translate, make additions or deletions, etc. These individuals' notes are then compiled into one final transcript that they all agree is the most correct.

Forget the transcript! PLAY THE RECORDING OF THE CONVERSATION!!!

Why did Trump say I want no quid pro quo you ask? I mean that is a weird thing for someone to say right? Because by that point he already knew he was under investigation.

You dont just give money out. You have a right to make sure there is no crime or corruption going on before releasing funds.
