The Senate impeachment trial of President Trump continues.

but I do think the US must investigate possible corruption of kickbacks to politicians and their families when taxpayer money used as aid to foreign nations, regardless of political affiliation. It's not foreign interference to accept evidence of corruption wherever it comes from, else kickbacks from foreign aid is gone un-investigated. For example a US politician decides to deliver US aid to South Korea, a Korean representative gifts that US politician's nephew a $5M house in Seoul. We must be able to ask for and accept information from South Korea regarding that gift which is only available in Korean deeds. That's not foreign interference, that's getting the evidence necessary to investigate corruption related to US taxpayer money. Otherwise foreign aid is a loophole to kickbacks!

Question, I thought that it is the job of the house to get the witnesses in order before going through with the impeachment process? It looks like the house rushed this job through and expects the Senate to pick up the pieces of unfinished work left from the house and do the investigation work of the house. Why are they now asking for witnesses now. I thought that it's the Senate's job to try the impeachment based on the evidence that the house presents to the senate. If these witness were not subpoena before giving articles on impeachment then they should not be admitted and the process start from scratch and present a new set of articles of impeachment after the witness are subpoenaed. The houses responsiblity is to do the discovery as part of the investigation and then bring those documents to the Senate where that information is then tried. If they don't have the witnesses they are asking for, it is because they started the process without having the necessary witnesses, I thought it's their job to have this in order before the trial process begins. I don't know much about law because I haven't studied the law that thouraly, but if you go to a normal trial, let's say a murder case, isn't the lawyers supposed to do investigation work first which includes sapena witnesses and present that information to the court before the trial date? In the case of the impeachment trial, if the witnesses are allowed to come in, will the president lawyers have the right to cross examination witness as well as the other side to cross examine also?

Corruption at its finest. All the Republicans could argue was process; not whether Trump was right or wrong (as they don’t care). I can definitely appreciate Senator Romney for having enough courage to split party lines and vote for the Bolton subpoenas.
