This is dating and relationship advice delivered differently! This is Ask Mark, where I (Mark Rosenfeld, dating and relationships coach from MakeHimYours) answer questions directly from you, my subscribers!

The first dating advice question I'm answering today is in regards to what to text a guy that you haven't spoken to in a while. I describe how to write a great text message men will respond to that shows interest and vulnerability and encourages a positive response. This means that he won't ignore your text and leave you wondering what to do if he doesn't reply to your text

The second dating advice question I'm answering today is also about texting! This time it's about handling a guy who is hot and cold via text message. What to do if he texts back quickly then he texts back slowly then he doesn't text back at all! What should you respond via text? Should you hold back and play hard to get?

Finally, I'm answering a dating advice question on handling a guy emoji's during texting. Should you leave a guys messages on read so he wonders why you didn't respond to his text message? Why would a guy not ask you when you haven't been responding to his texts? Should you wait longer to text him back?

I love what you said about closure coming from oneself, after processing ones own emotions. I I can't tell how many times women have told me they have reached out to a man somehow for "closure"- and I had no words to properly explain why I felt it was the wrong approach. Thanks to your advice, I am helping my sisters, friends and myself become stronger. I really appreciate what you do Mark because you are helping women boost their self respect. When a persons (man or woman's) actions show a lack of self respect, they start to develop low self esteem, then it can be a downward cycle of self defeat and destruction. I met a guy, the Romeo type you've mentioned, plus hot&cold as a bonus feature. And I found myself trying to play those games. And that felt so ridiculous and wrong, as if I was losing myself, because that's not me. But I watched so many vids and read so many articles saying that's actually ok to use those "strategies". And I was wondering what was wrong with me then?

Finally I found your channel and I was so glad to hear you also don't appreciate such games. I'm not alone on this planet, yay! I decided not to text him anymore and wait for the right guy for me :)

hey Mark! can you do a video on how to meet more guys/get a boyfriend in college? I feel like meeting people in college is very different since colleges are big and often people don't get to know each other if they don't make an effort to. thank you! :)

a bit more detail about my situation: I do a few extra curricular activities, but the amount of people you can meet by doing those are very limited. especially the activities I do generally don't have a lot of guys and I don't meet a lot of guys. I live in residence, but people tend to be in their own little niches and don't talk to others they don't know. so far I find it kinda hard to meet guys in university

Mark, I followed your advice and that guy responded to my message very happy and told me he would be free for several weeks! I wish I could give you a happily ever after but, I never got a follow up to confirm the plans I made that day, and I haven't heard anything from him since. Which is a bit awkward and confusing since he always made plans in the past and wouldn't flake. I explained a bit more in your other video, how to get out of the friend zone. If he shows back up, I don't know what to say, or should I say something first? The difficult part is, he was such a great friend. I really value your advice the most in this situation. Whenever you get a chance, your advice will be much appreciated🌟

Umm... why do guys randomly text and then drop it after one or 2 responses?
1. Why are they doing it in the 1st place - generally they are random "hi, how are you" type messages.
2. I have tried responding with "i am fine thank you how are you" as well as more stuff like "good, just saw an awesome film today. How are you doing" but that too goes nowhere after a 2 -3 responses. Can something be done better?

Mark, you look so great today! Awesome to see so many women starting to come into your channel. I had a guy texting me and asking me if we could meet. The thing is I was a bit turned off with him always texting "my luv", "my angel", "sweety". It turned me so off and I told him he does not need to call me that as I don't like it and don't feel its appropriate as we don't really know each other. But he continued, I tried to ignore it then, but later just before we met when he texted that again, I politely asked him not to do so…and he just cancelled the meet up. Im fine with it then, he texted a day after but i ignored him. I just want to know if I was being unreasonable, or petty. Should I be more open to silly unlikable things like that in order to progress in at least meeting guys?
