Silver is still the classiest, timeless color combo IMO

Ended up with the M1 and I’m super happy! I got my M1 for $799 so it’s an even bigger difference price wise. I couldn’t justify the $400 price difference for 10-20% faster CPU.

After much thought, I went for the M1. To be honest, being a base user like 99% of the human population, if you go for the M2 is because you are a short-term pleasure person as opposed to someone who has self-control. The M2 is pretty yes, and so what? With the difference between the base models, you can genuinely go on a trip with a person you love or even start off an Amazon FBA business!

I've watched many reviews of this notebook now and you're the first one I've seen who has pointed out the improvements in the keyboard and trackpad so thank you for that. I'd love to see a comparison between the M1 Air and the M2 Air for normal usage situations, not rendering 8K video or other absurd tasks that the normal Air user would never do. For me personally, I have both the M1 Air and the M2 Air base models and I feel that the price difference is worth it, for all the points that you noted. Speed-wise I don't really see a difference. Still opens and runs Outlook, Word, Excel, Spotify, Slack, Safari about the same. The only somewhat taxing test I ran was to take a photograph and uprez it 6x using Topaz Labs Gigapixel. The file finished about 49 seconds sooner on the M2 and at no point did the bottom of the laptop feel hot. Anyhow, thanks again for this informative video and looking forward to seeing more.

I'm coming from a 2015 MBP 13" so this will feel like a big upgrade to me and what makes this more appealing is the new design, webcam, screen, and the Magsafe especially. I just love the look of it overall, in any of the colors too. I'm glad you reviewed the silver because it is so classic and so clean with this design. Thanks for the video!

I actually like the traditional wedge shape better, I think the screen of the M2 on the traditional m1 would’ve been very appealing machine.

Thanks for the review. I looked at the Starlight at the store, but the trackpad color is different from the rest of the chassis and this put me off, so I bought the Silver which I love.

Thanks for the video. I also just canceled my midnight order to get silver instead. I got too concerned with the longevity of the midnight finish with scratches and discoloration, as well as the fingerprint issues. Silver should stay pristine!
