If you're having a hard time deciding, like i did: consider getting a mac mini + iPad Pro with keyboard. The price difference is not a lot and you get two devices. For me, redundancy was important and I needed a low profile device to carry around. Granted, the Air is very slim but I really don't need to type all that much when I'm on the move and I need it more for presentation or showing / viewing content. The majority of the heavy duty processing happens at home on a Mac mini connected to a very large tv (which i already owned)

My argument for getting the air is: you can use the air as a mini but you can't use the mini as an air.
I'm still deciding because of the price difference though

I am keeping both MacBook Air M1 and Mac mini Pro M2. For different uses case scenarios each one has its purpose.

Please stop comparing M chips to intel. It is like 3 years ago already. And no, especially macbook can thermal throttle from 3GHz to unbelievably slow 1GHz. Please do not say "it can perform all the task I throw at it". And without benchmarks or at least "time required to complete in two setups" is the least required to compare the two.
