Two climate activists put red handprints on a famous Claude Monet painting. The artwork was on display in Sweden, on loan from a museum in Paris. The activists glued themselves to the protective glass covering the artwork. Their point, they say, was to protect the need to ban peat mining and restore the wetlands.

They should leave them stuck there as an art installation and see how long they last.

I get the famous Superman text vibes.
It's art? It's activism?

Thank God his art wasn’t ruined- these climate activists need to stop this- these artists did nothing to them and doing this isn’t peaceful protesting and isn’t helping their cause

It’s nice to know that they’re so productive doing this than using other methods of protest 😊

That’s so cool! Great cause! On the other hand, what did *that* specific painting have to do with it?

And destroying artwork solves this problem how?

It’s vandalism, thank goodness there was a protective glass covering over the painting

Art or activism?? Destruction of property even if it's just the protective glass.

What dose the art work have to do the wetland or what ever they were protesting about

Vandalism is not protest! It is vandalism!

Most art places don’t display the original piece of artwork, so it is most likely a close copy of the original that is being displayed and in touch proximity.
