I used to have super long hair, after I cut it I couldn't go back. Its such maintenance, life everyday is so much simpler with short hair! Although with short hair there is some things like cutting it in shape that you have to do more as compared to none with long hair so there are some drawbacks. Oh and although you are cooler when its hot; your hair doesen't hide the fact you sweated it becomes so wet lol

If anyone wants some historical hair advice, I’d highly recommend a channel called Katherine Sewing! She used a lot of Victorian techniques to grow her hair that long, AND she’s a curly girly!

Everyday protective styling like what's shown in the paintings is actually the reason they were able to grow such long hair! Keeping your hair up with the ends tucked away prevents damage and breakage from rubbing and exposure to the elements. Also, they washed their hair much less.
