You might feel like this is simple and common sense. But it's really helpful for someone like me for example, who knows nothing about polishing. Thanks and keep the amazing work!

I have to laugh, I stopped in my local detailing supply store looking for a wool bonnet to go over my Harbor Freight polisher and got to talking to the owner. He asked if i had a detailing business and i said sort of the me and my son were kind of starting one. After hearing about my polisher he informed me pretty sternly " well thats not very professional " lol. He also informed me that he would be more then happy to sell me a Rupes polisher. I love your guy's attitude on use what u have and it makes me chuckle seeing you use a Harbor Freight sander with a polshing pad on it getting the job done.

Yvan is all about simplicity and giving tips to not to burn your bank account and get things done. Any other marketing detailer is vocalizing paragraphs about flex polishers and made in German or Italy. You don't need German stuff to get an American Car done period.

Detailers and valeters are so expensive now. I've watched tons of YouTube and learned massively how to correct my paint from flat and polish.

Holy 💩! I was going to buy an expensive polishing tool, now all I need is the pad for my orbital sander! Thanks for the great tip! I will be buying your products after watching this. I subscribed 2 days a go. Well worth it.

I don’t polish much BUT I had to buy a pad washer. It much easier to clean up an keep it moving. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I used mine as an experiment, works lovely and really nice to hold .

Will be a very good back up

a serious issue is the pad does not curve around the base of the machine. when polishing, the base end up touching the car and scratching it .

Exactly what I use to polish my vehicle and it works great.

You can also ruin your ROS (random orbital sander).... A bunch of them self cool with a fan that pulls air through the holds for dust collection. I see you pulled it off the filter, but now its going to pull moisture through the foam... Also it will have reduced air flow so it might burn up or at the least it's good for the machine long term. DA polishers don't have to deal with that because it roatates and orbits based on its gear box geometry, and gets cooled by the motors fans through its filtered intake.

So the only way to wetsand or polish without risking your possibly expensive equipment is by using an electric DA polisher or an air DA. Not trying to be negative but I thought anyone watching this will hopefully come across my comment so they're informed about the possible issies. Bosch, Mikita, Mirka, and 3M do not recommend wet sanding or blocking the vent holes due to overheating or possible damage to the unit.

Omg. I thought about this for so long. I also thought about using the multitool. I’m gonna give this a try. You’re a legend Ivan.

This gives me some confidence.. I have 3 random orbital sanders and really didn't want to go buy a polisher
