I remember back in the day where gravity would magically transport the fuel to the carburetor.

Eh I have a riding mower, which it had the same type of pump but I just put it out of order and put in an electric fuel pump.

A little water got into mine and it's been running funky. I emptied out the fuel tank and I also changed the fuel filter. And it's still running a little funky. Will it eventually get the water out? Like when u get bad gas in your car?

Thanks for the video! I was looking for a video while troubleshooting my Simpson Power Washer with a Honda GC-190 engine that will not start. My buddy gave it to me. It worked the last time he used it. He drained the fuel when he moved and it has been sitting for 6 months. After finding your video I checked the fuel pump and it works. The spark plug fires as it should. I can get it to fire using starting fluid but it will not run. I'm thinking there is something wrong with the carb. Not sure if there is an internal float on this one but it seem like it is not getting gas from the carb to the engine. Any help would be appreciated prior to me pulling the carb off and cleaning it as my next step. Thanks again for the video!! I really appreciate guys like you who are willing to help us all out.

What if you don’t have any impulse coming out of the engine and no suction to get fuel pump to work?

I replaced the impulse line because it was cracked and now mine will not start

I am almost done putting a new fuel pump on right now. I should have used this method before taking off my old pump. My problem is intermittent. It runs fine for a few minutes and then just stops running. I am hoping that it was a bad fuel pump, but I have not ruled out an electrical issue.

No, it's Fine . Carburetor Issues

The fuel out of my pump flows freely. I take the hose oof of the carb and gas flow without cranking
