I completed all 6 of the Juniper Networks associate certifications in the past year. I laid them all out in my Juniper Networks certification challenge and today's video, I'm going to give you a recap of what I liked, what helped, what I didn't like, and which certs might make the most sense for you.

Juniper Networks provides great resources for training, studying, virtual labs, and discounted exam vouchers. These certifications include the JNCIA-Junos (focused on routing and switching), JNCIA-SEC, JNCIA-Cloud, JNCIA-DevOps, JNCIA-MistAI and JNCDA (focused on design). I've done practice test walkthroughs and review tips for each of the exams I've passed so far!

Just starting out on Junos and thought I'd power through some of these certs along the way. Great job on the content!

Do you happen to know if another associate certification renews a cert you already have? So if you have JNCIA-Junos and pass JNCIA-SEC does it extend JNCIA-Junos for another 3 years? Thanks

Are Juniper exams vouchers still free, I visited Junos Genious and they change their portal, and its really confusing they mentioned free training but no where its mentioned that the exam vouchers are free.

I was able to throw vMX and vSRX images at GNS3 and they worked as expected. Compared to IOSv (cisco's virtual images), Juniper's images are pretty heavy to run. Minimum of 4vCPU and 3GB ram per vMX, 2+vCPU and 4+GB RAM per vSRX. Compared to IOSv's requirements (512mb/768mb for router/switch images, respectively), JUNOS needs a bit beefier PC to run locally.

Juniper getting rid of the free exam vouchers for the associate level (and replacing them with 75% off) stings a bit.

With regards to the free modules on JNCIA-Junos, it wasn't enough (by itself) to cover networking fundamentals. Had to lean on my CCNA to for that. Can't speak for the other tracks.
