How I Passed All 3 CFA Exams (Real Advice)
Показать описание
The CFA Program can be stressful and intimidating. But with the correct approach you can pass these exams.
Begin studying 5-6 months before the exam, and target finishing all the material 6-8 weeks before the exam. This should give you enough time to review every topic several times and do extra practice problems.
Stick to a daily schedule, studying at the same time every day. Mornings worked best for me, find a time that works for you.
When you actually study, make sure you are doing practice problems every session, and not just reading. Understanding the content conceptually is of very little use if you can't actually work the problems out, because that is all that counts on exam day. Focus most of your efforts on your weaknesses. It is easy to fall into the trap of re-doing problems you already know how to do, because it feels good to get questions correct, but this doesn't actually help you learn.
Don't try to figure out the minimum amount of effort required to pass the exam, and don't complain about how hard it is. You chose to sign up for this, so just give it your all and you can relax later. Only focus on what you can control, and the most important thing is to do as many practice problems as possible.
On test day, plan everything beforehand so there are no surprises and you can just focus on the test. Skip problems if you don't know how to do them, and come back at the end.
Afterwards, just relax and be glad it is over. If you end up failing, it's ok, you have a strong base of knowledge to work off now for next time.
To really advance your career, don't forget to focus on networking and interview skills. The Charter alone will not get you a job.
