What it do YouTube?! I've been frustrated lately. Check Engine Light keeps coming on, and then going off. The day of my appointment at the dealership, the CEL was off, so they said they can't help. I tried taking it to AutoZone, they weren't able to help. THEN to top if all off, while recording this video, my infotainment is being unresponsive.

Stick around for the ride, drop a comment, and subscribe if you want to help me out.

The Trail Boss interior was designed to have that "cheap" interior, plastic door panels, steering wheel, dash, etc was made for off roaders that when you get it dirty inside everything wipes down and cleans easier, I have the Z71 - 2023 - and I have alot nicer materials - door panels, leather steering wheel, seats, red stitching everywhere etc, and yes I needed the heated seats so I went with the Z71, the 2023 colorado is only slightly larger on the inside than the previous 2015- 2023s, I did learn by accident that when you hold down the unlock button on the keyfob for 5 seconds or more all of the windows will automatically lower themselves if the truck is running or not, I will have to pay attention to that when its raining or snowing or just in a shopping center parking lot, I guess it was made to let the heat out before you get in the truck? as for price nothings cheap anymore the average price of new vehicles is around $40, 000 which puts it in the same price as the Tacoma and Frontier

So since when is a truck that’s built for the trails have to have heated seats and leather steering wheels? Sounds like you want a pavement princess and should have gotten a different trim.

Why did you buy this truck obviously didn't do any research. 😢

Great truck, great motor. For the money the new Colorado is an amazing deal. If you want heated seats and a nicer interior buy the Z71 or ZR2.

1- don't want/ need heated seats.
2- cheap plastic. Meh. Easy to clean.
3- steering wheel cover where i live anyway.
4- halogen headlights, meh. Cheaper to replace.
5- back seat pockets and armrest... creature comforts. No big deal.

This truck is for someone who wants a truck for a truck. If you want creature comforts or it to be a status symbol, pay more for something for validation. Easy.

Could be a simple low battery. New cars can have batteries sitting for over a year. Put a topping charge on it and see if the check engine light stays off or not. Modern vehicles are extremely sensitive to battery voltage especially ram trucks

Press the onstar button and ask for a vehicle diagnostics when the check engine is on will give you a code in less then a min

I have the Trail Boss and love it zero issues zero mark up over msrp.. I've had several trucks and currently have a 2017 Silverado and The Colorado is by far the best driving truck I've owned.

Gm technician here! Seems like cause of some of your symptoms could possibly just be a battery issue! We just got 3 in at my dealership Friday and 2 of them had bad batteries causing the engine light and funky things with the screen.

This is why I went with the GMC Canyon. Much nicer interior appointments, plus heated seats, more soft touch areas, and high out put engine with 310hp and 430ft lbs torque. Higher lift, better tires, and the list goes on and this is with the entry level Elevation trim.

My 2017 ZR2 has zero issues 47 thousand miles. Love it.

May want to check your fuses. Roughly half of the fuses in my Colorado weren't completely seated and needed to be pushed down. Also, holding down the hang up phone button will reset your infotainment screen.

Because of your video, Im going to buy a 2023 Colorado this weekend. That truck is beautiful and the best built most reliable small truck available. Those were geese by the way.o

Still a nice looking truck. Looking into the ZR2. Problem is you're right, prices are inflated. Consumer still pays it and these manufacturers are seeing they can get away with it sadly.

Who buys a mid size truck for a family of four or five including larger teenagers?
You have a good point about the absence of a physical knob to turn the lights on.

I picked up a 2023 canyon elevation about a month I was loving the truck until I went to start it one morning and the battery was completely dead..I was able to jump it and drive it for a couple days with no issues. 2 days later I had the same issue with the battery being dead, I was able to jump it but it took a while. The very next day it died again and I was unable to jump it. I got it towed to the dealership and it has been there for 4 days, they still can't figure out how to fix the issue. I recently found out this is a common problem for MANY 2023 canyon/Colorado's. I'd hold off on buying this first gen truck until they iron out their issues... 🍋

I traded my 2016 Silverado z71 off road last June 30th for a 2022 Colorado, redline, gloss black , v6, tow package, 2wd, I love it, I miss my Silverado, 5.3 v8, but it had constant transmission issues and we don't need 4x4 where we live, plus my v6 does not have that cylinder deactivation or start stop bullshit, when I hit the gas pedal to go, it goes

Unhook your battery and wait a few minutes to rehook it. Also, check your fuse box and make sure they look good. It might fix some of your problems. It fixes some other trail boss owners' issues.

buying new released trucks from gm is a crap shoot. They use the buying public to find the bugs. You are helping to refine it. The vehicles that are phased out, are the ones to buy
