Love my mini 2, hate the app. So this morning I check the Sectional Chart where I want to fly and I'm near but outside of a Class D area. The river I want to video flows in the opposite direction of the Class D area. When I get there I check UAV Forcast app. All good to go. As soon as I spin up the props I get a message that says basically: "You are near a restricted area, if we don't like where you fly we'll put you in a hover." So I pack up and drive another mile down the road. Same story. What? I'm supposed to let someone else's software decide if my drone gets put into a hover? No more DJI for me. (But I do love the drone - too bad.)

I bought this 10 months ago at Costco. Great over all value. I did not like the case because having the drone on the outside with a thin clear plastic/rubber covering it provides little protection. I bought an Anbee case on Amazon for $24. I purchased the Care Refresh and it was a simple process.

I just bought a Mini 2 tonight. I was on the fence because I’d like to have a Mini 3 Pro, but didn’t want to want a couple of months to get one. I figure since it’s my first drone, if I enjoy it I’ll keep it and buy an Air2s down the road.

Do you prefer the cosco combo over the fly more combo? and do you have to charge each battery individually because it doesn’t have the hub? Because i am saving up

I started with the Mini back in 2020, just around when the Mini 2 was about to come out. I only recently upgraded to the Mini 2, about a week before all the mini 3 pro previews came out. Have been super happy with the shift to Occusync 2 and 4k. I'll probably get the Mini 3 pro just before the next one comes out in a couple of years :)

I was very fortunate on my mini 2. Purchased a certified refurbished fly more combo ($450) but received a brand new drone instead. I checked the model number and it didn't have the (R) on the model number and all 3 batteries had 0 charges on them.

I purchased the Mini SE for my first drone because I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on something I may not like…I kinda wish I would’ve went with the Mini 2 for the Occusync and the 4K video and RAW photos…with that being said I’ve been pretty happy with the SE to learn with.
