Reason #20 for being a Muslim: Islam emphasizes the rights of children.
Dr. Shabir Ally says that while children’s rights are protected in modern human rights documents, they’re already acknowledged in the Quran. For example, he explains that in ancient Arabia, before the time of the revelation of the Quran, people sometimes killed their children for fear of poverty. In the 6th and 17th chapters of the Quran, God prohibits that practice. Moreover, after the child is born, the child has to be nourished. Until the child is weaned, it is the father's responsibility to bear the financial costs of getting the child nursed. A hadith says that whoever does not respect the elders and have mercy on children are not from the community of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Apparently its not possible to list reasons for Islam without the reinterpretation of Islamic Scriptures and misrepresenting of other Scriptures 🤷

1. Its Corporal punishment to discipline a child but not to discipline a wife? Doesn’t the Quran say in Surah 4:34 that if you fear rebellion in the women banish them from their couches and Beat them? Is that Corporal Punishment or is it just the Bible?

Men are the managers of the affairs of women for that God has preferred in bounty one of them over another, and for that they have expended of their property. Righteous women are therefore obedient, guarding the secret for God's guarding. And those you fear may be rebellious admonish; banish them to their couches, and BEAT THEM. If they then obey you, look not for any way against them; God is All-high, All-great.

2. Dr. Ally says to give up everything to follow Jesus can be detrimental to a family 🤷

“None of you have faith until I am more beloved to him than his CHILDREN, his FATHER, and all of the people.”

Meanwhile Muhammad obviously wants to Bring Families Together 🤷

Coincidence that this was uploaded after the recent Dalai Lama controversy?

"Read" in surah 96:1 is a call to public education? Shouldn't Muhammad have then gone off and learned to read? Marrying off 6 year olds is a perfect balance between the rights of children and those of older adults? Aren't we stretching things just a little?

Wait… I Thought the Muslims reinterpreted the word “Iqra” to mean “Recite”? To avoid the problem with Allah saying Read and Muhammad never actually learning to Read, they say “Iqra” can also mean “Recite” but it seems that once again the Word “Iqra” has reverted to its original meaning which is “Read” as in actually reading lol; I remember Dr. Ally had another Video years ago translating the Word “Iqra” to meaning “Recite” but I guess today its back to “Read” again🤷🤷

You have a different understanding of the Bible than me. When Jesus was calling for "radical discipleship" I see it as soldiers going off to war. It is common for the warriors to go off to battle and leave the non combatants behind. How well would an army man fight in a war if he brought his wife and kids to the front with him? Would you do this if you went to war would you make your wife and children go to the front lines with you be honest
