You should make a short video on what a wedding day schedule looks like. From 9am - 11pm etc. A good time frame for ceremony, reception, food wait times for guests etc! Would love to hear about that!

My fiancé was at first reluctant to writing his own vows. So we sat down and wrote the template together, and wrote three vows that we will both be saying. This helped ease his anxieties, and he wrote his out the very next day.

Money dance in my Hispanic culture is such a yes!! It is looked forward to and in some cases is the perfect highlight of the event. Our family recently had a destination wedding come to us from another state and the money dance gave everyone the opportunity to spend little bit of time congratulating and meeting the bride and groom on a personal level and as gifts were not required due to the distance the money dance was so fun and gave the bride and groom a good load of cash to fly home with. Our family has always looked forward to the money dance at every wedding as it really helps everyone connect as new family.

I just got engaged to my boyfriend of 3 years on Saturday (seriously so surprised!) and we are young (22 and 23) so we will definitely have to have many financial conversations with our parents, so it's like you read my mind haha! Alternative to the money dance- my friend and his wife had two honeymoon fund jars labeled bride and groom. At the end of the wedding, whoever had the most in their jar got cake smashed in their face. It was a lot of fun. It also cut out the cake smashing when cutting the cake so there weren't any face cleaning moments in the middle of the wedding and it encouraged people to stay until the end to see it.

Yes on the MC suggestion! We have a DJ but for the speeches, we asked my brother (a stand-up comedian and Mc) to open with a few minutes of comedy and then lead into speeches.

Thank you for creating such a positive space for brides to come and get great advice! I am planning a wedding and I am having a hard time with my parents (specifically my mother). I would love to know if this is a common thing between most brides and moms and how others are handling/coping with this dynamic. Fortunately/Unfortunately my MIL has not wanted to participate at all and is letting us plan whatever we want! But my mother has been making every step so difficult in this planning process.

I heard ppl lie to their photographers and videographers saying its just a party to avoid the "wedding tag" I also heard a lot of the photographers and videographers are pissed if they get fooled and arrive to a wedding rather than an ordinary party/birthday celebration. Wedding tags aren't always fraud a price hike. The lenses and lighting used for weddings are quite different. And so is the skill as explained in the video. You can lie to your caterers, Dress shop, bakery for the cake and florists to avoid the wedding tag, sure. Cause those things are the same, just different price acc to the variety of food, elaborate or simple dress and the arrangements of flowers you pick.

I wish you’d consider doing a reaction video. It’s not something I’d normally suggest for your channel, but it wouldn’t be really relevant and I’d seriously appreciate your perspective. TFD or The Financial Diet (great channel, btw, if you’re not already familiar) just posted a video called 5 Shocking Financial Truths About The Wedding Industry. Some of the information and advice seemed way off base.
