People seem to not notice that Carkoal and Coalossal do maintain the orange eyes, but only when attacking. Makes it seem Rolycoly is in a constant need to powering itself cause of its size, causing its eyes to be always ignited. Meanwhile, Carkoal and Coalossal only have their eyes ignited when they need to exert more power while attacking

I dunno if anyone pointed this out yet but zacian and zamazenta could have been based off of Geri and Freki, 2 wolves that sit around Odin's throne. One sitting next to his sword, the other next to his shield.

The unicorn and the lion thing could have possibly been because of Scottish/English myth and history- Scotland's national animal is the unicorn, and England's is the lion. This is at least partially because they've always had a sort of tense "fuck off I hate you/aww that's adorable you're so tiny and green and helpless" energy (<- at least, as I've learned from having Scottish family JSKDKF. Who knows if England thinks differently), and when England chose the lion, Scotland chose the unicorn because it was said to be the only thing that could kill a lion in legend. Pretty neat idea considering the region's theme!

Interesting pokemon fact: They always want to make sure no pokemon is too cool or too goofy. The design process is to try and balance every pokemon. Gallade, cool pokemon, give it goofy hips. Charizard, round belly. Garchomp, the two head horn things.
