Gotta give ‘em credit for their inmategenuity… especially given their ages and their rather relatively light charges. Not like they’re spring chickens and/or facing life imprisonment.

I had the chance to run 1 and half years into a 5 year federal prison sentence. Had the C.O. passed out from heat exhaustion when the second C.o was taking a break. We where at a park on a clean up program about a mile out side prison . 2 out of the 4 of us did run that day and got extra 10 years both and spent most that In the hole plus never get to work a job at prison again. One of them still in prison to this day and this is 20 years ago. So glad I didn't run now cause they both got caught with in 10 hours of hiding in a swap covered in mosquitoes. I honestly took about 3 steps with them and froze up and stayed and so glad I did my time payed my dues and have a normal life now. Escape charges are no joke my friends.

why do petty criminals think it's a wise choice to try to escpe and add a felony charge to what would be most likely a misdemeanor charge? i just don't understand the logic. But then again i don't see the logic in being a criminal..
