Murder Suspect Makes Daring Escape from Oregon Courthouse Before Trial

Newly released security camera footage shows a 28-year-old murder suspect in Oregon escaping from the courthouse moments after his hands and legs were unshackled. Eli Villalobos was preparing to stand trial on multiple felony charges, including second-degree murder in the 2021 fatal stabbing of 33-year-old Artemio Guzman-Olvera. After a two-hour manhunt, Villalobos was found hiding under a blanket in a closet of an apartment after a caller reported seeing a man trying to break in a neighboring unit. Villalobos was taken into custody and later indicted on two additional counts of first-degree burglary and one count of second-degree escape.

Hopefully, they now realise they should have been guarding the prisoner (doing their job) and blocking his exit instead of just standing by and letting him wander. That made them look lazy and incompetent.

If he would’ve stolen a car he might’ve gotten away tbh, took them two hours to find him and that’s only because he chose to break into an apartment. Hopefully they take better precautions from now on with these serious criminals
