Well, I save data now on my Fi with using the Android N Preview feature Data Saver and Opera Max app. The Data Saver in Android N will restrict background data. Not only that it works and use Opera max app on all my Android phones including the At&t GoPhone. So I use less data than ever! Not only that, but I have a wireless Sandisk Connect Stick that I store all my movies and music on. So no data or storage is being used. I also use IFTTT, WiMan, and WiMap and Mymobile apps to help find wifi networks and all sorts of stuff. Smartphones are awesome! and this is why smartphonesmatter!

I'm waiting for AT&T GoPhone to include 10GB with their $60 plan. I'm pretty sure that's gonna take a long time, but T-Mobile already has it with the simply Prepaid $60 plan. What I like about GoPhone is that $5 discount you get with auto refill and rollover data. That would make it the best deal IMO.

I hope in the future that Straight Talk Wireless can be sold at at Target in Best Buy and you can just get the service cards everywhere and I hope the price goes down for their the ultimate unlimited plan should just go down to $45 a month

They turned off my personal hot spot use for this $55 a month plan. I called them and they were really rude and nasty. I was told by the rude and nasty customer service rep that I never had personal hot spot service in the first place and I told them that I have been using it since I bought the plan and that is the reason I continued to use their plan. I asked for a refund and they said no. I have contacted my credit card company for a dispute. I was enjoying using the personal hot spot in my service. I don't know why they have decided to SCAM me?

I didn't see a difference between the $45 plan and the $55 plan. They both ran out of high speed Data at the same time, 1 week before my plan ends. I bought the $55 plan 2 times tried it and no difference. I even turn off my 4g and use wifi no matter what I do still runs out in 3 weeks.

I'm really confused on how the data works. Do I have unlimited data or only a certain amount before I can't access online or use a hotspot anymore? I don't have wifi rn and I really need something to use for Internet. Not sure what to do.

They now upgraded the 55 to truly unlimited data no throttle

I bought the $55 card, and at about 7.5GB, I got the message that I had used up my 4G LTE data. It went to 2G at that point... so $10 extra for 2.5GB extra high speed data, at least in my case. Will probably just go with the $45 card next month. Would be interested to know if others experience this.

I am done with Straight Talk. I had my 4G data shut off two months in a row. I called the first time and they gave me a "WARNING" that I was violating their fine print in the agreement by supposedly continuously streaming content which was a lie. It is almost impossible to continuously keep using data. I will admit I used a lot of data per month. But the plan does say unlimited does it not? When I called into costumer service they made a big deal about how much data I was using. Like they seriously were trying to shame me with quotes like, "Sir, you are using an enormous amount of data who would need to do that?" I told them it's none of their business what I use my data for. To be honest I download content and my kids watch a lot of youtube and hulu on it. But who cares? It's none of their business. So the next month they did it again and when I called in they said, "Sir we are permanently turning off your data but you will continue to be charged each month as long as you stay with us. So you will continue to receive unlimited talk and text but no data." I told them goodbye and switched to Sprint unlimited.

Thank you for the review sir. I am thinking between your Straight Talk AT&T 5Gb $45~ taxes plan or Cricket 5Gb $45 (taxes+fees included + $5 off w/auto pay forever not only three months). From just looking at both carriers websites, both relatively use same AT&T towers and coverage, but I am concerned about speed cap and throttling after the 5Gb usage which will be 2G speed on Straight Talk, or 3G speed on Cricket. (I assumed 3G speed won't be too bad to live with for a week or so). Currently, I use promotional AT&T postpaid 6Gb plan and pay$67~/month with 5.5Gb averages. Any thoughts? Thank you

Straight talk sucks. Wait. When you run out of data, they will throttle your phone to snail speed. After that, it is a crap shoot if you will EVER get fast data download. I ran out of data and was cut off high speed. Bought new cards from walmart, nothing could restart my fast data. No videos, no streaming radio stations, nothing. Been like this for 2 months! called everyone including their executive office. If you look on the internet, you will find there are many like me. When my time runs out its in the shitter for this company! It is frightening, but they have NO ONE that knows what is going on when this happens to many people. In addition, there service department is in the Philippines and good luck finding someone to talk to that can speak and understand English!

I have metro pcs it's worth the $60 that's all I pay taxes and fees are with that price plus I get unlimited high speed data and hot-spot to straight talk don't offer that
