Have a clean tip(and hot enough), sometimes u have to give tin more time to heat, flux helps it

What I would do is turn that soldering iron temperature up. Looking like it takes 10 minutes for it to melt but not too high or you could damage or strip your board of the connection. Use flux sparingly to make a cleaner solder connection and my recommendation use cleaning alcohol to clean the flux off make sure there no debris anywhere.

Also it a good idea to find a place mattress that won’t slip away and will stay in place bc soldering on a table could lead to the table being burned. Also if you do a lot of soldering try not to inhale Too much of the smoke bc that can cause health problems. There more too it but here the stuff that came to mind.

Thinner wire as that’s thick it’s hard to melt just get solder wire :)

I don’t know what the person in this video is doing, but it’s certainly not soldering. The person in this video is like a caveman discovering a solder iron and poking with it like an infant who has no idea what’s going on.

Thats very wrong, you have to hold the iron on between the contact and the pad then feed the soldor in and hold it a bit longer before releasing
