Great content and very informative. I usually wait at least 5 days for my medium roast. It’s the worst part about roasting is having to wait until we can enjoy a cup.

I tend to roast on the darker side, and usually wait 2-4 days to try it. I roast a pound at a time, doing 2 batches in the SR800. A pound usually lasts my son and I about three weeks, enjoying a cup after work in the evening, so I get to taste it at several points in it's life cycle.

Thanks Catherine, I have never waited more than 5 days to "try" my coffee, however, based on your recommendation on waiting at least 10 days for light roasted coffee I'm going to try and summon the willpower to do it, because of you! 😏 Yes, the waiting is the HARDEST part!

Love the Ramirez Estate Organic Natural, i roast to an early medium and it can take 7-10 days to "open up" but tends to fall apart after 25-30 days and starts going flat... i put my roasted coffee in a glass jar in a dark cabinet with a vacuum lid on it... is there anything else i can do to extend the life of the flavor ? thanks for the great greens...
