Robert Lamm's voice is a very special thing. That soulful voice I heard so many times on the radio in my childhood years. (Born 1962) That voice is a huge part of my memories of growing up in Northern NJ in the 60's & 70's. And he still has it! Dude's gotta be in his 70's.

I love this song! It has a very haunting melancholy sound or quality to it. This song is ahead of its time and yet it is right on time! First of all I love the introductory instrumentals, the brass such as trumpets, saxophones, and trombones. Trumpets are used to alert and warn the listeners. Then there is a whimsical improvisational piano or keyboard sound, followed by a metronome tempo sound with trumpet overlays slightly bumping up the speed. There may be a few other musical transitions played with a shag, swing, bop or smoothness to it. Then the lyrics hits us; “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is? Does Anybody Really Care? This song is prophetic. Because in Romans 13:11-14, Apostle Paul is basically asking us do we really know what time it is? In other words, do we know what critical perilous times we are in now?
