My wife was vehemently against gun ownership intially. Had a fit when she realized i had one. Now she rolls with a loaded m&p everywhere she goes, we have rifles positioned at strategic positions in the house and my kids are both highly capable and knowledgeable with firearms. The turning point was when a dude attacked a store clerk a block away with a hatchet, and was stopped by a good guy with a gun (a miracle considering how rare CC is here) and quite a few home invasions in our old neighborhood. I laid it out, if theres more than one dude theyre gonna kill me, and do whatever they want to you and the kids. We moved out of the city too, its bonkers nowadays.
