When the A/C is not working in Scotty's home, his wife starts long conversations with him so he can fan her with his hands.

I was a Toyota lube tech those years and we knew out of the gate the engines had oil issues and even the rebuilt ones never improved

I work at Toyota and had a rav 4 come in today that was this model and when I did the inspection I noticed it was about a quart low on oil. Car had around 206k miles. Kinda funny how this video popped up and answered the question I had earlier as to why this may be happening.

Scott, luv your videos. The 2012 prius v three has the same oil burning problem. I have one and had to replace the engine. Another 170k later another engine gone. Did oil changes every 3k and was adding g a quart or even 2 every 500 highway miles (depended on summer temp). Toyota said the pistons had the same problem but they refused to do anything. Did some research and learned that the v had a this as a common problem. Lesson learned... no more hybrids! You are right, when they hit high miles, they get expensive. All my problems were engine only.

Thank you, Scotty. You just convinced my to pass on a 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid due to the potential expense of a Hybrid battery and generator replacement. Also, in one of your other videos you pointed out the oil burning issues of pre-AR-FE engines.
So, I'll wait until I find a good 2012 with the six-speed transmission and an AR-FE engine.
Your videos are a informative, easy to understand, and always entertaining.
