Good you touched on the speed of the process and not to rush it while your learning.
I see to many people these days wanting to be fast and good all at once
Concentrate on the details and the speed will come naturally!
Another nice video Guys and Gals

Just wanted to say Austin ... dude I’ve been watching your videos for maybe two years or more man. Might be less but I’m not sure. But I am sure of this bro. Once I got into asme tank production /welding helping thanks to you and your videos I stood out in a positive way. Just wanted to say thank you bubba. I’ve been tuning in from California. I kick ass because of you.

I’ve been in pipefitters union under a month. Started as welder helper yesterday out from firewatch. This helped me huge. So the old timers aren’t yelling at me 😆

Hey Austin, a bad helper with a grinder can be like an STD!Wether they like it or not I give a grinder 101, again, that's part of the 6010, faint tracks will burn out, if they don't know they can hollow out your bead and the nightmare begins, I always told them it wasn't my ass on the line, but my groceries and I like to eat, so do it my way.Great explanation, once their good enough to ask what you want, that's nice.

As a beginner, I am completely lost as to why you would want to grind a weld bead. It seems to me that it would weaken the weld after removing so much material. Probably I missed the point of this, but I think an explanation of why you would even want to grind a bead would be a good start of this video.

Austin, if I wanted to get started on the Pipeline, would you recommend starting going through the 798 Union?

Would that big long "scatch" from the cutting disc near the first "wagon track" you mentioned be a problem out in the field? I don't recall seeing marks like that in any "how to" welding videos I've seen. I don't do pipe welding so that is why I am asking. This is a legit question, I would like to know hat the parameters are for when "life isn't perfect" and something has to be addressed ie. bad material, mistakes or damages in handling, etc. Thanks man! Really enjoying you videos. Peace!
