Very exciting, maybe they'll even be powerful enough to run shaders at max render distance

As a researcher in this area, the hype in this area is crazy. The only advantage is speed over classical computation, classical can do anything a quantum can (church-turing) and we are decades (if at all) away before we see a speedup that will be economically justifiable.

If you were to make a video game run on a quantum computer, theoretically, you wouldn’t ever have to load the game beyond booting it up, even with every room/level being a separate area.

Love how you explain concepts so easily. It also keeps me upto date with new breakthroughs and speculation. Thanks Skynet.

I think the privacy gains for quantum technology are vastly overblown. People already give out information so you don't need to steal it. As for the quantum internet that will not be faster than normal internet for the foreseeable future. The more I hear about quantum computers the more I feel like we are playing with an similar situation to mechanical computers in the 1800s. We are no where near where we need to be with tech yet. I am hoping for that advancement like the transistor to come along to make it more feasible to see what it practically can do.

And here I sit, waiting to start chemistry at a university and question myself, "Damn, am I going to be relevant once quantum computers are here?"

You are the first person I have seen to explain quantum superposition so well and in such a short time

This actually helped me to understand the applications of quantum mechanics to a degree. Thank you!

Alot of this stuff clicked on your description here. Well done! Ive watched quite a few videos on almost all these topics and I have to say your explanation cleared up a bunch of misconceptions I had.

This literally explains quantum mechanics, computing, and cryptography, in such a simple way that me trying to learn on my own took hours to do. Thanks a ton for making it simple for our human minds

I love how quantum computer uses 2 random system therefore can isolate it into a non random one, it's mind-blowing how we can use logic to beat pure randomness

That's revisionist history, there is a huge amount of early developments in the field of computer science, both theoretical and practical, (even when it was just a sub-branch of Mathematical Logic, e.g Turing Machines etc.), without mentioning Quantum Mechanics even once. You can make a Computer with literally everything, from gears and levers et al, to... Redstone in Minecraft.

Please do a video on something I recently just learned (heard) about, “zombie planets”

When a super nova happens sometimes a planet gets like, formed from the ashes and structure of one that was blown to smithereens.

Sometimes I just wonder why we couldn't use Morse code to communicate over large distances with quantum entanglement. Like it doesn't matter the state of the particle at the end, but more about the time each particle has been observed which can translate to symbols.

Or it might be too slow or already implemented.

something to note is that engieneers generally agree that a quantum interenet will be a cloud internet. We will not see a quantum personal computer anytime soon. Not only maintaining a quantum state of qbits is incredibly fragile, but you need to refrigerate it. only allowing large facilities like government buildings and big tech corporations as reliable ways to store them.

If Skynet one day saves me from Brazil matrix and put me on brainstorming sessions with top people solving themes like those from this channel.. I'll make sure to support it with some quantum-processed ideas that cross my brain when I'm this high. That's some post anthropological and transcendent jokes holy shiee..

I think quantum computers will more like be for difficult calculations and simulations, because a common and a quantum computer are about as different as a person and some kind of alien bruh

if there is anyone here wondering what a real life example of a super position is? look up the double slit experiment and remember that observation changes outcome. really makes ya wonder about that old question, if a tree falls in the forest and no one is around DOES it make a sound? how can you be sure if there was no one there to measure it??

I love that our quantum computers of today might very well look like an antique, crude mechanism to future humans. Much like we look at the Antikythera mechanism now
