Ys 6 is the first one I ever played on the PS2. I rented it from my local Hastings when it was still around, I had a week to rent it and ended up beating it before taking it back. One of my favorite Ys games

Adol is a certified badass, the Ys soundtrack slaps really hard and Dogi... The less we talk about Daddy Dogi, the better!

I'm mostly a Turn-Based fan, but my love for Falcom has made me want to try Ys at some point. I'm mostly just waiting for a remake of Ys 5 before I actually dive in.

I go back to Ys from the 1990 Turbografx-16 CD where I played Ys 1-3. Ys 4 was Japan only until the Celceta remix years later. So I didn't play an Ys game until Ark of Napistim Ys 6 where Ys made its American comeback. So it was a big stretch of well over a decade between when I finished Ys3 and then Ys6 was the game that resurrected Ys in the west. One of my favorite series.

I have only played 1-3. I enjoyed 3 for what it was worth. Regrettably, i have not touched the series afterwards. I doubt that i will ever get to the new entries, simply due to backlog.

Memories of Celceta is one of the best action rpgs I've ever played hands down

The only Ys game I played was Memories of Celceta. I loved it!

I own all these (and have owned many of them for years) but have never played any of them. They're short enough I kind of want to, but I feel like the minute I do they'll remake Ys 5 and I'll have to play that one twice >_>

I can't decide if Ys Origin or Ys VIII is my favourite.

VIII is obviously the more in-depth and bigger game, but there's a lot to be said for Ys Origin's pick-up-and-play hack-and-slash combat.

You taught me that I am as old as Final Fantasy AND Ys, rpgs that I am so very fond of! Also, I had NO idea he had 100 stories! Does that mean 100 boats have been destroyed over the course of his adventures? I wonder if that is the title of his book "A series of unfortunate nautical adventures". xD

I’m glad you made this video. I had one of them for the PSP but never really got into it. Ys and the Trails series are a lot to take in if you’ve never payed the series so I appreciated this a lot.
