Ok, so after trimming it down, how do you attach it to your project? You cut the string off while trimming???

I just go to the dollar tree and buy a bag of them so I won't waste so much yarn. Like making those little winter boggins with paper rolls though for the brim of the hat it's real easy then I put them on a string and string them up like a string of lights on my mantle or x mas tree
