Rule Changes are RUINING the NBA

Gilbert Arenas and Rashad McCants of the Gil's Arena podcast explain why baiting fouls is ruining the NBA. The recent rule changes in the NBA have caused scoring to explode. If you give the refs to the power to take away head fakes and foul baiting everyone is going to shoot 3s. If the NBA got rid of the three-point line watch what would happen. Everyone would be in foul trouble and attacking the hoop instead of taking 40-foot jump shots because it is worth 3 points. Take away parts of the basketball game and watch how it affects the star players then you will know how and why the NBA game is changing.

If they change the way the games are officiated by allowing more physicality and no foul baiting and coaches make the offense more intentional and efficient, I promise the league will be WAAY better. That’s my opinion though. Open to disagreement.

Allow hand checking again. The offensive game has evolved such that now u have to allow more physicality again to balance it out.

As a lifelong basketball fan, basketball might be the worst game to watch, especially during the regular season its right up there. It's not the number of games. Its the rule changes the players taking nights off shooting way to many 3s and more.
