If there is someone at work who treats you unkind and with hate for no purpose of your own, doing these things and more can shift things in your favor. I am personally applying these tactics now and they work.
Here's more of what I do and have learned that works:
Always smile. No matter the circumstances, the hater need to see that you are unbothered even if inside you are.
The hater need to get out of your way. You do not get out of their way. In other words, don't shrink down to a mere version of yourself in their presence. They need to see your head held high and you functioning as your usual high level engaging self
Speak to them say hello. Then ignore them for the rest of the day. They do not exist outside of a formal greeting--- and you don't ever greet them by name. Not ever. They mean nothing to you and nor does their name.
These tactics beat them at their hate of you for no reason.
This happens alot at work, especially among women, regardless of age or education.
