It is a very common question that is asked for changing title to a property. What is the best way to transfer title on a property or change a name? The best way is to use the quit Claim deed.

Simply fill out the current owner name and add the new owners name(s). Have it notarised. Then hand deliver to the new owners or mail it with return receipt. I did this a few years ago, but had the assistance of an attorney. My wife had died and needed to get her off the title. At the same time I was setting up a trust and it was recommended I put the house in the trust. So two quick claim deeds were filed with the county.
