After experimenting with mine for a while ..the downside is this doesn’t allow DTS or most audio formats through pass through using Kodi and a soundbar or receiver …however I was elated to find out if you use the Stremio app, it fixes the issue and I can get all the true surround formats through this Onn 4k Pro using Stremio. So I’m hoping that means all they need possibly, is a software update allowing Kodi to decode the formats using this device. Also for some reason I found that even with the use of a gigabit Ethernet adapter, I’m still getting a better speed and connectivity through WiFi more..perhaps maybe because the WiFi 6 capability this Pro device possess…Such a missed opportunity for Onn, all they needed was a gigabit Ethernet port instead of 10/100 mb port ..that’s one standout I have with my Nvidia Shield tv pro …which I also own🤔

For the usb test you should have used the same model drive for consistency sake. A small inexpensive pack of low capacity drives would have done the trick.

I have a 16gb SanDisk jump drive formatted in ex FAT, with 6gb 4k AC3 movie. Played smoothly with zero buffering.🤷🏽

This little guy is awesome! IDK why, but I love to try these TV "boxes".
I'm a Roku guy for the most part. But I love hacking around. Roku isn't friendly with that.
I put this onn box on my bedroom television. I haven't had time to play around with it too much.

can you access the 32 GB storage from a windows network? really looks like exfat is a fail because of the stuttering and fat 32 is out because of the 4 GB limitation, is this smb1 only?

For 3rd party movie apps, how well will it play something such as 50-80gb w/ dolby vision? Just wonder how smooth it will play or if it will have a lot of buffering. Right now I have a Shield and has zero hiccups in that category, so just wondering how it compares.

I'm on the fence with this box. It's not all that impressive and I bought 3 😟 nothing wrong with last gens. 1 major flaw. When you use it as a Google hone it turns your TV on when you ask it something.
