Every laptop could do dualboot if you know how. Also, move from Windooze to good GNU/Linux.

Also don't do this to your laptop if it has less than 2gb of ram, I did it on a dell latitude D610 with 512 mb, and it refused to boot. It even says 2gb is the minimum on the cloud ready website. Since Chromium OS has limited app support anyways, I would just buy an ssd (if the hdd is too slow) and install Windows 7 or 8.1

Remix OS is also pretty cool, it's a desktop version of Android, so you're not that limited as with Chromium OS.

To make my old laptop fast, I installed an SSD and Debian LXDE. It works much better than ChromeOS!

You could probably put an SSD and upgrade the ram in that Thinkpad and Windows would run fine.

If it doesn't work, you lose time. As you know it, once you lose it you will never get it back. FOREVER GONE.

i installed windows 10 on a 10 years old laptop. and it's smooth. it's now plugged to my home speakers and plays music when i start it from my spotify app on my phone.

I also use it to download big files overnight.
