so....add ram and a SSD, plus a clean install (or really any operating system)

I purchased a HP X360 pavilion for $$105 on mercari. It had a i5 Skylake so still pretty new. It had a 1tb HD so I put a $40 $240gb SSD and sold it on hardware swap for $295. Very easy money. Then I could use the 1tb that the laptop had for game storage for a PC build

My laptop is as upgradable as a smartphone, Everything is soldered on.

If I put 8gb of ram and an SSD into my old 2010 Toshiba, I guarantee it would be faster than this one. It has like a 1 minutes 30 boot time with it’s hard drive(also from 2010) and has a fairly old Install if Windows 10. This laptop also has an upgradable CPU. I upgraded it from an i3-370m to an i5-560m.

Just sold my Alienware M15x from 2010. I upgraded the cpu, graphics card, storage to SSD, and power supply. Went from hardly playing games at 720p to a mixture of Med-Ultra in 1080p.

I once did something stupid (and I knew it was but did it anyway) but I put 2gb and a SSD into my Netbook (and one of the older 1 core 2 thread crap Atoms)

Why? because I could

For those who don’t know cmos does still keep bios (sometimes) but it’s mostly used to keep time.

Try upgrading the wifi card as well if the Lenovo allows it. Not sure if they whitelist/blacklist these on Lenovo.

If you have an antique laptop like a core 2 duo then I suggest using the Chromnium "Cloud Ready" OS.

I have an old ivy bridge i5 laptop with 8gb dual channel 1600mhz ram with 5400rpm HDD. It takes like 4 minutes to be usable after boot. I took one of the 4gb DIMMs out and put an 8gb dimm in for a total of 12gb ram. I chucked a slower Hp 120gb SSD in it and it boots in a slightly slower time as my ryzen desktop with the same SSD that boots in like 20 seconds.

Upgraded my Toshiba C855 with an SSD and boot time is like a 1/8 of it was. I cloned the old HDD contents to the new SSD. It's like a new machine minus having to reload all my software.

Do you need a new key thought the motherboard would have a key build in even with another version of windows

I've seen your builds videos and notice when you benchmark msi afterburner closes and dont pick gpu and cpu usage and temps anymore, it happens to me too afterburner likely close when you open a game so check out and open it again.
