Pixies Announce Departure of Bassist Paz Lenchantin

Pixies have announced the departure of Paz Lenchantin, who joined the band as a touring member in 2014 to replace Kim Shattuck (who replaced founding bassist Kim Deal). Paz appeared on three of the band’s albums, 2016’s Head Carrier, 2019’s Beneath the Eyrie, and 2022’s Doggerel; before joining Pixies she played on albums by A Perfect Circle, Zwan, Silver Jews, and more.

Emma Richardson, formerly of Band of Skulls, will replace Paz, starting with Pixies’ Dublin show this Friday A message from the band reads, “Paz Lenchantin, who joined Pixies in 2014, has exited the band to concentrate on her own projects

Well, she just found out it's Black Francis's band and no one else's! There a reason why you hear no one else talking talking during an interview when they're all together, I know this cuz I've been a fan since day one back in the 80s I seen her personality and I can see him getting rid of her eventually she just wasn't smart enough to keep your mouth quiet like David and Joey! I say good riddance...Kim is the only true and only!
