Why These '80s Bands Really Broke Up

The 1980s was a huge decade for music. MTV ushered in the era of the music video, allowing for some of the most iconic bands of the time to rise from nowhere to superstardom. But not every band’s fame was meant to last.
Many bands of the ‘80s fell apart just as quickly as they found mainstream success. Whether it was over internal creative disagreements or just an inability to handle the spotlight, these bands decided long ago to call it quits, and some of them won’t be looking to do a reunion tour anytime soon. Let’s get into the real reason these '80s bands broke up.

I love gnr despite all the messiness… the future looks exciting with the random new music releases, for the first time as a fan I can experience new music from them!

The Human League never had an album to chart again after their 1986 album Crash, but they did have two more Top 40 hits. Heart Like a Wheel in 1990, and Tell Me When in 1995. They are still touring today, so you can't say they broke up. The band I miss the most is Eurythmics.

Ahhh... The Clash's Cut the Crap has got to be the album from one of the best bands. Every 5 years or so I try to give it another chance. Maybe someday I can get into a it. I'm due to give it another listen in about 3 years. So we'll see.

In my opinion 80s music with some exceptions from 1986 onwards really went downhill. 1981-1986 is the better part of the 1980s.

I actually met Eddie Van Halen and Valerie Bertinelli in a grocery store in L.A. in 1984 with my brother and he told me; don't take any pictures bc we don't do that here, but I snapped a picture of them leaving in thier orange Porsche. Oops sorry James. 😂
