I have 3 of the Sig Romeo 5's. No issues at all and I trust them. You're right, there are better red dots out there but for the average shooter, home defense minded person, its absolutely a great choice.

I have 2 and love them. One is on an AR-15 pistol with a 7inch barrel and the other is on my FX-9 9mm AR-15 pistol. Love them!

Couldn’t agree more, have 3 of them. 2 reasons, can’t see crap anymore and shake a wake. In over 2 years they have never failed me. Great review.👍

Originally had this on my ar platform with the higher mount and just remembered that it came with the flush mounting system. Literally looks amazing on my shotgun and fit perfectly

First of all, I believe this is my first time on this channel ... I am impressed with your ability to state your position without the usual canned lines and statements. You are to the point, un-afraid to make both subjective as well as objective observations about the product. I live in Australia and we finally have a few AR “style” options on the market (pump action as semis are HEAVILY restricted). As such our options are very limited and very expensive due to the small market and import costs. It’s great to find an honest channel rather than just standard “I won’t outright say this is an ad” kind of views. Definitely subbed.

I have 4 of the Sig R5’s, Holosun red, Holosun green, and a Northtac. All are workable optics and probably from the same factory. All are mounted on AR15 rifles. However, the Sig’s are obviously my favorite. I just bore sight them at home before the range and hitting steel at 100 yards gets boring with 100% hits. It’s an ideal set up for close range home defense. They’re simple. reliable, intuitive, and sufficient in low light situations.

Very nice video. I put a Romeo5 on my Henry H001 .22 lever action rifle. All I needed was a picatinny rail to go on top of the Henry. It fit perfectly. It works great for me.

I’ve been enjoying mine for a few months with a few thousand rounds sent directly where the dot shows it to go. Simple to zero and holds it perfectly. I don’t care where it came from. My fridge, phone, laptop, and everything else comes from somewhere…

Like a lot of us here, also built my first AR (7.62x39 build) and am new to optics. Thanks for including other calibers such as x39 and the 12 gauge, other than just an AR in 5.56. I now have no doubt it'll handle the increased recoil of 7.62x39. Thanks for a great review, Just ordered one!

I have had 2 Romeo 5 optics. One was on my first AR build, the second one spent time an a AK 12 gauge before getting moved to my loophole nak-9 AK SBR (brace installed because F the ATF) and never had a issue. I just put together a BCA upper with a Anderson lower for a no nonsense basic rifle with a A2 from sight gas block, plastic handguard and ATI flip up rear sight. Just ordered a new Romeo today along with the Magpul ms1 sling to finish up the gun. It was put together as a gun I could beat the dog mess out of and it would just run and I wouldn't feel bad about it. The Romeo 5 definitely fits the bill when it comes to a optic option for those looking for a handle abuse/duty optic. The fact that every law enforcement agency in my area (city/county and the federal government Bois) run Romeo 5 optics on their department issued duty rifles speaks volumes to the dependability of the optics platform. As long as the sig Romeo 5 optics are available they will be my go to option for my primary sighting system.

And the problem is…? I always “knew” Holosun had to be OEMing the Romeo 5 but couldn’t confirm it and gave up a couple years ago. I’d had my first Romeo 5 for some time and it was working perfectly so it didn’t matter anymore. So I bought several more! Just glad to get a little validation here. The only one I regret even a little (more like I don’t see the point) is the Optics Planet SE that uses AAA batteries. Now, if only Sig requested something more like the Holosun 515…
