"There are so many stories where some brave hero decides to give their life to save the day, and because of their sacrifice the good guys win, the survivors all cheer, and everybody lives happily ever after. But the hero never gets to see that ending.
They'll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They'll never know if the day was really saved. In the end they just have to have faith.
Ain't that a bitch?"

Now that's what epic music sounds like

"You know, a long time ago I did the stuff you do now. Maybe not as crazy, but still. I was a hero, back in my day. Now, I just stand at the sidelines watching and waiting. For what? For the day when the heroes need some backup. Just 'cause I'm not out there doesn't mean I won't be when people need me."

"The concept of heroes is one filled to the brim with irony. A hero stands for justice, but what they do is a mercy, they fight for what's good by breaking any law necessary. The hero always fights for the greater good, but has anyone ever stopped to make it clear what the greater good is? Heroes fight for an abstract goal, sacrifice and give of their lives in disproportional amounts all for a chance, a chance, at something better than before. What is even more ironic is that a hero is treated like nothing more than an idol, some representation of societies ideals, and despite that they are easily doubted, criticized to no end, and willingly sacrificed. The greatest irony of all is that heroes don't actually do any good, they are a symptom of a problem, not its solution. People just toss their burdens onto them, place in them all of their hopes and dreams, and then tear them down when they can no longer bear the weight, because when they fall and their weakness is seen, their flaws and shortcomings become known, the hope they once made turns into fear, and all the belief fades away and becomes pointless. A hero fighting as a hero will never succeed at achieving the greater good, they can't even fight for it, all they do is lift a little weight in the hopes that we as a people will do it in their place, for they aren't the greater good, we are. We who watch them day after day without realizing what they're doing, and it is the most ironic thing they do. They fight to give us another chance, one more day, in other words they don't fight for justice, they fight so that we can have chance after chance to get it right, and what would you call that? Mercy, it is mercy, and the greatest irony is for all the light they radiate they are forever misunderstood, because they aren't beacons of justice, they are beacons of mercy, fighting so that we can one day redeem ourselves, cleanse ourselves, fix all the problems, and find the ultimate solution, but when we fail, as we always do, they fight on our behalf so that we can have one more chance. So no, the hero will never succeed, because it is not them who needs to succeed, and to that end they will always fail till they are no longer needed."

How the hell did I go from “I need help with my homework. Let’s go on YouTube!” to “I need epic music.”?

"We stand for those who call for us, those who have lost all hope, those who have exhausted their souls to keep the ones they love safe from harm.
We may be called demons, but we fight against those who have deserved to be called more, those who would watch the world end before them.
Because after all...

Everyone needs a shield"

Heroes don't wear capes
They come when they hear a cry for help
They answer to those in need
Call upon the heroes who sacrifice everything so we can have a tomorrow
Thank those who put their lives on the line when they are called to help someone in need
They can help you when you are in danger
The real heroes are the ones who deserve respect, but they don't ask for it

Two Heroes stood back to back
Fighting in unison
One the Father
The other the Son
Both dressed in black,

Both have a heart of gold
As the legends have foretold
The battlefield a place of history
But both were saved from insanity,

By the watching eyes
Of a mother, and wife
Whose life
Will be forgotten in the Heroes tale
Whose actions were stale,

But the Heroes have a hearth,
And home,
Loving, caring, and full of Mirth
Made of stone.

So who watches the Heroes on the field?

The wife, and mother
And no other
Kept our Heroes from the dark
That lurks
In all man's hearts
For keeping the Heroes in the light
The wife will always be told with her family
For generations to come
For a heroic tale counterbalanced on ordinary life
Will teach all to attack strife
With love and joy.

First poem I've written on this channel.
I'm willing to get positive criticism.
Sincerely,
Lore Keeper

I've lived most my life doing nothing but observing others, but I recently learned you can't get yourself out of a pit by looking at it
You can't find love by simply waiting for it
And you can't live life by watching others live theirs

Who watches over the heros?

The fallen?

The dead?

The loved?

The loathed?

No...

When the world is in pain,
When people pray in vain,
Here comes the heroes,
To save the world from sorrow,
But yet the hero yearn,
For an almighty from whom they can learn,
So we say tomorrow, who watches our heroes.
