I'm going to be blunt: 2023 was not a very good year for Apple. Products were underwhelming, release schedules were confusing, and it seemed like Apple lacked some serious direction and drive for its 2023 lineup. Am I wrong? I'm going a little unfiltered in this video breaking down some of Apple's big mistakes for 2023 and why I hope 2024 is going to be a much better year. Apple Fanboys, prepare to be pissed...

I completely agree!! This is the first year I didn’t even consider upgrading my iPhone and I am concerned the next year’s model will be equally boring. I mean, why am I still waiting on a 10x zoom? Apple has great quality and I love the ecosystem, but it’s getting boring being an Apple user.

Okay, this is going to make me unpopular, but, I am going to stick up for Apple here. 2023 has been a difficult year for most companies big and small. We went through covid and other problems in past years. Manufacturing prices have gone up, wage cost has gone up, the cost of development and research has escalated. People may think that Apple and other blue chip companies have endless funds, trillions of cash in the bank etc but this is not always the case. We have seen the new M3 chip and other significant updates this year and yes, maybe there could have been more but a\t the end of the day, at what cost ? There have also been quite alot of developments in the IT arena and many more to come in 2024. This may have meant that Apple have been wanting to hold off for a while and take advantage of these developments. Ai is set to mushroom in 2024 and it will be vital to bring tech in line with this emerging software. Your argument is very one sided and maybe you should be asking for an interview with Apple to validate their current position within the market ?Get both sides of the story and a balanced presentation will

I think the best thing I did this year was with the new iOS 17 update focusing on mental health. We all need to focus on our mental health these days.

The last time I told Siri that she is dumb, her reply was “that’s not nice.” 😂

No need to apologize for your views. Tell it like you feel it. If people don't like w hat you say or your opinions it's their problem.
If they were so informed or brilliant, they'd have their own channel. Keep up the good work.

I used to be a huge Apple enthusiast, but you hit the nail on the head, I've never felt more underwhelmed by the innovation and offerings coming out of Apple. I've definitely put more consideration into switching brands recently. I'm still rocking the Iphone 12 and even the 16 rumors elicit a collective "Meh" reaction out of me. Though the thing that gives me pause is I have a lot of movies within the Itunes ecosystem that would suck to lose. Thanks for the honest assessment, definitely earned a sub. I'd grade Apple a "D" this year, zero innovation outside of their headset, which is niche and priced way beyond the average consumer's budget.

My GF is "in love with the iPhone" lol. 😆 I agree with everything of this video about the iPhone. That's why I'm not in a rush to get one for now lol.

I think rumors build huge anticipation but saying Apple is dead or no innovation is a bit over the top exaggerated.

I am in love with Apple because I upgrade every 3 generations. Simple pricing upgrade.

Looking for the larger I Pad Pro. Any news?

They are truly missing johnny Ives. They have a good supply chain and logistics guy in Tim Cook. But they lack vision for design. They need to make the SOC more modular in the pro towers. They need a 32 inch imac. They need to innovate the hardware more. Make a bigger splash in the AI arena.

My first question to people who raise these complaints, what SHOULD they do?

Make folding phones? Make a mini display on the back of the phone? Increase the charging speed?

What is the solution here? You’re talking about the Apple Watch like there aren’t people out there rocking a series 3. You’re talking about Mac’s like there aren’t people on Intel, my mom has an iPhone 8, when she upgrades next year her mind is gonna be blown.

Just seems like the guy who buys every Apple product the day it releases is tired of year over year updates instead of looking at people who use these devices like normal human beings.

The year I upgraded from iPhone 12 Pro to 15 pro. That’s a B+ upgrade in my opinion, i got the action mode camera upgrade from the 14, Dynamic Island from 14 & all the upgrades to the 15, most importantly to me the action button as I use it as a quick remote to manage my smart home & a few other task.

Upgraded my iPad Pro 10.2 inch to an M2 iPad. upgrade, no explanation needed.

Last year i jumped from the Watch SE to the 8. Another solid B+ upgrade.

Lastly i upgraded my 2009 Mac Pro to a M1 Pro MacBook, an upgrade that quite literally still finds new ways to blow my mind with just how a computer the size of the main board of that computer is able to run complete circles around it without breaking a sweat.

It is my opinion that iPhone and iWatch should have a reliable oximetry ability

It’s hard to improve something when it’s already so fantastic. How many people use Apple products? People don’t care about change for the sake of change. They care about having products that work, and meet the needs of the modern society. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Make improvements in areas where there’s meaningful room for such. I have a feeling that their research and development is not geared so much towards phones, but towards the next big product (Apple glasses?).

Honestly, I think it’s reviewers like you and others that raise expectations for WHAT you want from Apple. Apple listens to you guys, as you stated when you discussed pro apps, and no one cared but you and a small subgroup of users. They must stop listening to tech reviewers because they don’t usually speak for the everyday person and start listening to the day-to-day users.

What Apple is missing a significant opportunity on is Apple TV and how your phone can be used to project FaceTime on your TV. They should be using commercials showing how easy it is to talk to your grandmother, college kids who are away, etc. I have been using it every day to talk to family. There is something so lovely about detaching your phone from your hand and putting it near my TV and having a focused conversation, which I usually didn’t do when I FaceTimed and had the phone in my hand. This could potentially boost Apple TV and phone sales.

This is a good thing. Apple's lack of substantial change in its product just means it helps curb people's consumerism. Isn't that a good thing?

Apple primary focus is profit, at this point. So they are expanding outwards, rather than forward

Amen! I’ve been an Apple evangelist for 35 years. My client list once included premiere music labels, and Fortune 500 video production companies. The death of FCP and the dwindling professional use of Logic Pro has cost me 25 percent of my most “Mac devoted “ clients. Apple’s disregard and utter disdain for industry.’s uncontested graphic processing leader, nVidia, has turned the highest end developers and professional users away from the platform.

When Apple has no clue where they’re going; they cannot expect high-end content creation companies to tell their stockholders “it’s all good! We’re just waiting on Apple… again!”

Puget Sound is growing popular for an incredible, custom built, thermally modeled, dual nVidia flagship GPU, 256 GB RAM, 8TB SSD, (choose your multicore CPU) computer — costs less and offers far more than does the max’d out $10, 000 iPad that is the Mac Studio (display sold separately for both).

Like all good Apple sycophants, I haven’t yet given up on the company. When the company starts to impede my income? That’s a different story…
