My gripe with wireless charging is that you can’t use your phone while it’s on the charging surface. It’s cool but a regular charging cable means I can still ruin my sleep schedule.

Fun Fact. USB stand for UNIVERSAL Serial Bus. It was a concept that ALL devices would use the same plug for all the same reasons that were just explained. That was in 1996. Weird huh

Forced wireless charging is a worse idea than removing the headphone jack

They have to literally be forced to not abuse their consumer base.

Don't try to downplay how terrible of a company apple is. They used lightning because it was proprietary and people had to pay large percentages of revenue to use that cable. Don't like act like it was an innocent decision. It was the richest tech company in the world trying to be more greedy than they already are.

As a guy who worked in a furniture store. I can confirm that wireless chargers in furniture already exists.

personally, i have never, NEVER found a case where wireless charging is even slightly more convenient then plugging it in

I sure hope that wireless charging doesn’t become the default. Transmitting power via induction is fundamentally less efficient than via wires. That means longer charge times and more waste heat.

The cordless thing has been around for a while and I feel like Apple's going to find a way to make it sound like they invented it😂

The reason why cords are handy is because you can use your phone to almost full capacity while it's juicing up.
