Qigong for Healthy Boundaries with Jeff Chand

There are many reasons to practice qigong. Most people are drawn to qigong practice because of:

-pain
-illness
-fatigue
-a health crisis
-stress, anxiety
-or anti-aging

But one largely unknown benefit of qigong is that it can help create healthy boundaries. In a busy world such as ours today it is easy to become overwhelmed by:

-constant stimulation
-noise
-technology
-smells
-sights
-voices
-advertisements
-and so on

Some people are fine with all this extra stimulation but others become overwhelmed by it all. When you practice qigong routines it helps to recenter the body and the mind into the present moment. It can also help to clear out excessive thoughts and distractions that float around in your mind when we don't want or need them. This is a simple routine that you can practice throughout the day once you memorize it. It can also be good to practice in the evening after a busy day before going to bed.

As an introvert and HSP, I think these exercises are really helpful and do-able - I have only done a few routines and I find I am starting to feel better. Thanks Jeff... many therapists don't address these issues about boundaries and anxiety and I also like the way you present the exercises. Your pace is slow enough for me and your voice is soft yet positive.

These Qigong exercices come at the right time, at the right moment in my life! I have an hypersensorial system that is not easy to shut down, especialy when I walk downtown Montreal! I sens deeply the emotions that are transfered to me by others and do not know how to protect my system from it. As a social intervener, it's a beautiful tool in helping people, but it can also burn me. No surprise, my anxiety is oftenly high. This new video is a psychological and neurological balm. Love this one, especially the tiger movement, and also when you mention that accepting your self as you are - gives you boundary already. Makes sense because when you relax, things stop fazing you.
