The circle part was very confusing as you said go out 10 blocks, but in the shot showing the finished circle it has a radius of 13. Edit: after 20 minutes of confusion, I have realized that in the video, the scaffolding is NOT in the center of the circle. The actual radius of the circle is 15 blocks from the scaffold, assuming you put it in the center. This is easier to see later in the video, but if you are following the video step by step its a recipe for confusion. Also building the campfires so early into the build makes building the iron golems area unnecessarily annoying if you are doing this in survival.

Take a snippet at 9:19 and follow from that image, to set up the base of the structure. In my opinion, much easier than going through all those transitions.

in future can you please show a top-down view of the build at the end of the build stages & also instead of saying "about 10 blocks" the exact amount would be great, it would make it much easier to follow along for those of us playing in survival. 👍

A good way to spawn proof the farm is to use brown mushrooms. They give out a light level of 1 and covering the spawning area with brown mushrooms might be a more efficient method than using redstone torches. I personally used brown mushrooms in my farm (same principle but different design) and I can say it's been working very well so far.

the instructions are so unclear about the circle i have never made a circle in minecraft tho you said to go 10 blocks from the top scaffolding but in the video the radius of the circle if 15 blocks i have to reconstruct it again

You can also combine blaze powder and slime balls to craft magma cream. This is really useful on pre 1.16 versions where magma slimes can be rare

I literally was just looking for a slime farm tutorial last night and I wondered why you hadn't done one yet so this scared the crap out of me.

For Bedrock users, use full Blocks instead of Slabs. Apparently, light will go through Slabs in BE version (IDK why). You can also use the Black-Tinted Glass Block on top/side of the farm as it doesn't let light through. The base of the farm has to be either Dirt Blocks or Soild Blocks.

For Java users, you're fine.

I hope this helps. If anyone has issue(s), just comment here and I'll try to help.

The circle part of the build was the most confusing thing ive ever watched from any tutorial. It'd be a lot better if you just time lapse the building process instead of editing it and cutting parts out so we wouldn't be thrown around. Thanks :)

Thanks for the tutorial! Ended up increasing the size to fill an entire swamp since the biome was so small (~about 55 x 49). I additionally needed 3 Iron Golems to cover the whole thing instead of one because of the extra size.

There's a big difference in the amount of slabs on the platform when he first places it verses when he's putting the torches down. That grid thing he talks about gets a bit confusing at that point.

I think this farm is the most efficient farm i have ever seen in my entire 4 year minecraft history i afked for like 2-3 minutes and when i checked i got 45 slime balls moly that a lot for 2-3 minutes
damn nice farm bro
ALSO A TIP ::: MAKE THIS FARM IN THE MIDDLE OF WATER SO U DONT HAVE to put so many torches around i made it in the middle of a lake which has no land near it upto 30-40 blocks on each side so it worked best for me
