I love Bethesda for Skyrim. The game is nostalgic for me. Mods made it feel like I was playing it for the first time again. If Bethesda wants more money, then they should make a game that is complete enough that mods are not necessary.

That's basically what the higher ups at Bethesda were thinking. They're everything that's wrong with the gaming industry. I'm going to feel soooo much pleasure when they're forced out of business, maybe their IPs will go to someone who actually gives a quarter of a sh*t about players.

If they’d taken 10% and have the rest to the creators then there would’ve been almost no controversy, people would’ve been more willing to pay to support modders, and Bethesda would’ve made much more money in the long run

Modding is the only reason i play Skyrim at all anymore. So much of the game's sales come from people wanting to play modded playthroughs on PC after enjoying the vanilla experience on console.
